The 5th Annual Gathering of the Coots

Well Old Coots it’s time again for our annual gathering. We do this each year for several reasons.

To reminisce over this past year rides.

To plan this year’s rides.

To eat

To recognize those Old Coots with special accomplishments

To raise money for our operating expenses and annual picnic.

To eat.

To complain about the weather.

The Gathering will once again be held at the Butler State Park Lodge in Carrollton KY. on January the 7th at 3:30pm EST.  For those of you that have never been to our Gathering before, I can assure you of a good time, and our meeting room is 10 feet from the restaurants buffet. How convenient is that! Also for those arriving from faraway places the Lodge has some nice rooms with very reasonable rates.

As in past years we will be holding an auction. The money we raise at the auction helps pay the cost of maintaining the Old Coot website and pay for our annual picnic. We ask that all attending bring an item (should be somewhat related to motorcycles/bikers) to be auctioned off. This year we will be dividing the auction into two segments, both silent and verbal. This should speed up the process and make the job a little easier on our auctioneer.

Something new this year will be a contest called Guess the Old Coot. I am asking you all to send or email me a photo of yourself from when you were a much younger Old Coot. The photo should be a least 30 years old and not a baby picture (all babies look alike). The contest will be to guess the most Old Coots, The winner will get a spectacular prize. Anyone who mails a photo to me I assure you, it will be returned at the Gathering. My address is Old Coots on Scoots, 183 Greens bottom Rd, Carrollton, KY 41008. Please send them asap, don’t make me get Pris and Jean after you all.

Please signup now.

Thanks Old Coot Jon

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
